How It Works

The RO plant purifies water by applying **pressure to force water through semi-permeable membranes**, separating dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants from the feed water. The process generally involves the following steps:

✔ Pretreatment: Raw water passes through multimedia filters, carbon filters, and softeners to remove suspended solids, chlorine, and hardness that can damage RO membranes.
✔ High-Pressure Pump: Water is pressurized to overcome osmotic pressure and push it through RO membranes.
✔ RO Membrane Filtration: Semi-permeable membranes allow only clean water (permeate) to pass, leaving dissolved salts, metals, and contaminants (concentrate) behind.
✔ Post-Treatment: Permeate water may undergo UV disinfection, pH adjustment, or remineralization for safe consumption or industrial use.
✔ Wastewater Management: Concentrate water is safely discharged or recycled, minimizing water wastage.
